Join us for a weekend of learning and backcountry camaraderie!

This special educational event is sponsored by BCHO members and is designed as a unique opportunity for you to learn directly from experienced backcountry riders. Whether you are new to wilderness riding or looking to refine your skills, this rendezvous at Sisters Cow Camp is the perfect place to gain confidence.

What You Will Learn: Come prepared to expand your knowledge. Our member-instructors will guide you through:

  • Wilderness Riding & Camping: Mastering “Light on the Land” techniques to minimize impact.

  • Trip Preparation: A deep dive into preparing for extended wilderness pack trips—what to bring and how to pack it.

  • Camp & Stock Skills: Practical instruction on camp setup, stock handling equipment, and techniques for keeping your animals safe in the wild.

Event Details:

  • Dates: May 28–31, 2026

  • Location: Sisters Cow Camp, Sisters, Oregon

  • Dogs: Must be kept under control at all times.

  • Stock Requirements: If you bring your own stock You will need to provide your own corrals or high-lining equipment.
